ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY

A saying says that the only permanent in this world is change and obviously it can be seen in every aspect of our lives. Man lived together with the changes in his life in different pace. Every day we experience it and we tend to adapt to it in order to live. There are changes that made a big impact in our life and it involves major adjustment to our daily lifestyles and practices.

One of the major changes that are very significant is the changes in our environment. History shows that from a slowly paced changes, our environment now is starting to be modified in a fast pace. This action is made majority by man. Man, in his efforts to search for a comfortable life, has intently created a major impact in the adjustments in our environment. There are changes that are beneficial but there are more changes that are very harmful to us. Our environment, which is the source of living of man, has turned in to means of destruction. Present facts will show that our environment has become a population controller. This is inevitable as to what the future tells us.

It’s unimaginable what our nature may do to us if we continue destroying it. But there is good news. It’s isn’t too late. We may be the cause of the problem but we are also the solution. And creating change will be the answer again.

In this module, we will be reminded on the significance of the environment to our life, the current issues and the actions we have to undertake to address the said issues.
